Something happened with the links to the icons on my previous layout (actually the links were no longer available on the imageshack account), so I finally got around to changing to a new one.

It's usually a tedious task to find a new layout. The easiest thing I've found to do is go to the journal of an lj user who usually has layouts that I like and then check out their user profile to see where they got theirs. This time,

fujiidom came to mind, and I ended up coming to

mentahelada . This time around, I saved the images to my own server, as advised. I'm thinking my header images is going to change quite often, but for now I wanted some hotness. :)

ETA: I also prefer journal layouts with fairly neutral colors so they're "work-safe." ;)

cascades . I cropped it to fit the template and added the text.

#1. I have a paid LJ user account now. Yay for more icons.

#2. My default lj user icon has changed. The image is from some art I did a little while back of an original character (OC) named Artesia Grey (a.k.a. "artgyrl").

#3. You'd think after the second time I drew something, it would get easier. Not so much. Last night, while working on my second piece for

paintedspires , I struggled with drawing Ronon's arm and wristband. Originally, I was going to redraw the entire picture anyway. However, I decided to tweak a few parts, because I really liked the overall image. However, his arm still looks quite wonky. Argh. It's at an awkward angle and it just looks really weird. I used a reference but. . .eh. Ok, I'm gonna try this one more time. . .

I really don't want to have to redraw his hand (took me forever to get that right), but it looks like I'm gonna. . .
