Notes: I've been RP'ing on tumblr as Emily Merchant, and this scene came about from that. IDEK what happened with that, because I suppose I can get into Emily's head pretty well, but the Victorian England thing? I struggle. Clearly, I have issues.

See, the thing with this couple is that I wasn't even convinced to shop them until the last episode of Series 4, when they were saying farewell to each other. And it was so well-acted that I was all, OMG, they have to bring Emily back next series. And they totally did and it was brilliant and adorable, and oh, hey, look...Matt's actually kind of cute and why didn't I see that before...Oh yeah, his Irish accent was making it hard for me to tell that he could actually act. Whatever, I totally ship it now, and it's glorious.

So now I've drawn the three current Primeval ships. Yay me!

Between squeeing over Abby & Connor's finally established relationship and sighing over Becker & Jess growing closer, these two are such a wonderful couple! I was shipping them ever since Matt saved her from Ethan after he locked her in Charlotte's tomb. I got deflated when she said she was married (Wait...WHAT?! was my reaction), but I still wanted her to come back next season. Felt guilty at first then it went away very quickly when Henry showed what a jerk he was. I'm so glad she's back and they're together!

Yes, Matt and Emily definitely had obstacles to their relationship. By the end of Series 4, I was hoping that she would come back. I had a feeling they would end up killing off her husband.
