dollhouse: 1.09

"A Spy in the House of Love" broke my brain with teh awesome.

• Paul now knows that Mellie is a doll and now has to play along, not letting her know that he knows...?! His reaction to her was genuinely heartbreaking. And, wait...didn't November tell him that the spy would be discovered by the time she got the message to him? How did she know? Is there someone else working on the inside? Did Dominic know that he would ultimately be discovered and therefore he willingly took the fall?

• Adele Dewitt is "Mrs. Lonely Heart"...!!! The pillowtalk between Roger and Adele and it's overall implications...how the dolls become what people need.

• I think the fact that the episodes have become more balanced since the pilot, with less or Eliza Dushku/Echo and more of Sierra, Victor and November. I've even grown to like Topher, or at least, be entertained by his character moreso than I was in the beginning.

• So yeah, I wasn't sold on the show in the first few eps, but it did turn around by episode 6, as advertised, and each episode does get better, so, that's a plus for Joss. I'm just wondering why it couldn't have started out as strong. I supposed that Whedon is fortunate to have such a loyal fanbase to stick with the show while it finds its legs.
