1. Go to your desktop and press the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key); or take a screencap (Command + Shift + 3), if you're on a Mac, like me.

2. Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and doing a Paste (CTRL + V); or, just open the image to in the program—the cap should save to your desktop.

3. Post the picture on your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop if you want. You can explain why you prefer such a look or why it is full of icons. Things like that.

4. Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktops as well.

The Sims 2: Atlantis

As requested by jennidinorobot:

I used to play The Sims 2 quite a lot. I was reminded of that fact after my little desktop meme. Before I stopped playing, I had created a neighborhood full of Stargate Atlantis characters.

One of the drawbacks of The Sims is that when you create a household, everyone has to has the same last name. So, for all the characters to retain their last names, I had to set them up on separate lots and build houses for them. I created five separate households: Dex, Sheppard, Emmagan, Kenmore (Wraith), and Keller.
