Now, y'all might think this drawing is fine and I'm just being crazy. Just trust me, it will be better the next time around.
This was good practice, though.

The drabble:
For someone who had grown up somewhere so cold, Sheldon marveled at how much she looked like she had been raised on a beach. She spread out her towel and laid down on her stomach seeming to be joining his campaign to ignore Leonard as he dug through the cooler and complained about sand getting everywhere. Sheldon pulled off his own shirt and sat on the ground next to the blond giving up his stigma about sharing for a moment to perch on the edge of her oversized towel. Neither of them spoke as they sat in the sun with their eyes closed, both of them enjoying the warmth sinking into their skin.

I like this much better. A lot less shading, and more in my current "style." Don't know if I'm completely finished with this, though. May tweak a few things (some clouds would look nice in the background).

Also, my scanner is kind of crappy with picking up the detail in the shading. You can't even see the tufts of chest hair that I drew. :/ My dslr camera does a better job.

But enough of my whining... Enjoy. :)

Oh my god!

I loved the first one, the likenesses were very true, but the second one! Penny is so adorable I just want to grab her and hug her. (I mean, I won't tell you what I want to do with Sheldon, but.)

The first one was indeed not your best, but the second one? *gasp* Sheldon looks incredibly hot. You can almost see the sun beaming down on them. It's truly gorgeous, S.

Oh, I love them! I can just imagine the murmur of the surf, the sun's gaze on their skin, the taste of salt and fish in the air, and just a breath of breeze. Mmm!

My favorite part? Penny has no problem lying down in the sand, while Sheldon sticks to perching on the towel's edge! Perfect. :) I can seriously smell the salty air when I look at this!

I'm in love with the serene expressions on their faces in the second picture. The tilt of Penny's head just--What's the word I'm looking for?--encompasses the I-wanna-soak-up-the-sun feeling. Brilliant contours. =)

The second one is definitely superior cause we can see their wonderful expressions. Penny is lovely, but I love Sheldon's presence in the second one. Hope that makes sense. You really feel that you're looking at a six foot plus guy. His size contrasts with Penny and I like that. I love his expression the best. It's Sheldon at a rare relaxed moment, but it looks totally in character for him. He's really lost in sunning himself. In short: me likes. :)

The two pictures make a lovely set, with the different perspectives. You really do have Penny & Sheldon "down" at this point. (lucky us!) Sheldon really does look like he's drifting off to sleep in the 2nd one, it's such a peaceful tone. As I see it, with the first one, the focus is on their bodies (his ribs, her curves, etc.) so I can see why you did a second one, if the idea was to match the tone of the drabble - you had to show their faces. Ok enough from me. thank you for sharing your exceptional talent with all of us!

I love that second drawing so much, - little things like the freckles on his shoulders and Sheldon's very slight smile. And Penny's face. They are just comfortable with each other. I like the way she is utterly relaxed and basking, and he still has that slight tension in him.
