Oh, that's sweet. The way he's huddled up - but letting Penny eat ice-cream in his room? Major step. Is she going to tempt him to uncurl with a second spoon and a 'Batman' dvd? I just get the impression that she is watching something, and that Sheldon's interest has just been caught, he's on the verge of rolling over to watch, too.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I imagined, especially Sheldon being on the verge of rolling over, maybe to respond to what Penny is saying. I did contemplate drawing Penny offering Sheldon a spoonful, not that he would take it, of course (germs and all), but... Yes. I like the idea that's Penny's catching up on the geeky info. :)

I mentioned in my tutorial that I imagine my drawings as scenes playing out, and I just try to capture a single moment from that. I didn't conceive that Penny would be watching anything, but that does fit with how I've drawn her eye line.

Yes, that was very sweet, even if Sheldon did have selfish motives. He did try to do it in an unusually considerate way, and he has baked (it's my brain canon that he made it himself) bread for her to mend bridges. I don't even know how this scene would come about, but once I pictured it in my mind I had to try and draw it.

...okay, so...please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, don't hate me! But, I find Penny's profile odd? I don't know what it is - I keep trying to remember her profile and if that's how it looks.

OH GAWD DON'T HATE ME! I don't normally point stuff like that out, but I thought maybe you won't mind a little bit of constrictive feedback/notes?

Past that, her hair and clothing are fantastic. It's just that one little bit that throws me. I love you! <3

Oh, whatever. I kind of welcome concrit on my art. A lot of times I think something is wrong and no one ever says anything.

I think the main reason Penny's profile looks "odd" is because of the expression she's making. I kind of had to wing it, since I don't think there's an appropriate complete profile shot of her with ice cream stuffed in her mouth that I could reference. So, I basically tried to keep the likeness in her eyes, nose, and chin.

So, yeah, it looks odd to me, too, but I still think an overall likeness was achieved. Thank you. *hugs*

*phew* Okay, good - some people can take concrit and some can't, so I didn't want to upset you! I love you too much for that! I do now wish there was a shot of Penny snarfing down ice cream! ♥

I could see her features in there, I think it's just the line of her forehead to her nose (or vice versa) that threw me. But, looking at it a second time, I see the eyes and the determined little mouth and that is Penny all right!

Yeah, I have to watch myself, because sometimes I get annoyed with people who can't take concrit.

I feel that if you put your stuff out there on the internet, you should automatically brace yourself for the potential of something you do being completely ripped apart. Granted, that hardly ever happens, but it could, and I think it's important to prepare yourself for that eventuality as well as have a balanced view of the criticism and be able to tell whether someone is just being mean or sincerely trying to help you improve.

I feel even more strongly of this after the events of the last several days.

Yes. I figured that would be fairly obvious. Sheldon mentioned crying himself to sleep, and I instantly pictured that scene. He is one for routine so I could see him doing the same thing after being twice defeated by Evil Wil Wheaton. :)

Yeah, that pose was a challenge to get right. I started out drawing a completely different composition, with them at Penny's apartment. That wasn't working, though. Then this image popped in my brain and I started over.

Oh yes, it was pretty good. Sheldon was awesome, of course. And I did enjoy Kaley's acting. Lots of little plot bunnies are springing up in my head now, after drawing this. :)

Ooh, the expressions! *swoons* Also, once again you have managed that "a moment of stillness in the midst of movement"-thing, so that you once again have me staring at the picture, waiting for the spoon to meet Penny´s mouth and for Sheldon to turn his head just that tiny bit over his shoulder. Seriously, how do you do that? It´s like magic... :)

Oh, and about Penny´s face... I totally see the resemblance, it´s just that somehow the mouth makes her look very young somehow. Which really just makes her look really cute and happy about her icecream IMO, but it´s something you notice, especially when you´re used to her usually having quite full lips. Anyways, that´s the only thing I´ve got in terms of concrit, and of course no offense meant whatsoever ;)

I completely understand, and I think that capturing her adorable and almost Sheldonesquely innocent (there´s no way that´s grammatically correct) expression is really the main thing here, and those lips really contribute to that image.
