Notes: I read this fic a while back when it was first posted, and I rather liked it, for the most part, particularly the scene requested in the prompt. I've drawn S/P in the rain before, but this had a completely different feeling so I was glad to revisit the theme and interpret it in a different context. I'm definitely better at drawing them now than I was before. I'm quite proud of how Sheldon turned out, especially. :)

The prompt in full:

From The Summer Shower Precipitation; Sheldon's woken Penny up in the middle of the night, taken her up to the roof in pouring rain because he has "something important" to tell her. Now his Walter Koenig-signed Star Trek umbrella's been blown away and they're up there in their robes and pyjamas in the rain, but Penny won't let him dodge the issue this time:

“It’s just rain, Sheldon.” She took his hand in hers and leaned on the railing beside him. “Say it.”

“’It’s just rain, Sheldon’?” He frowned. “What good will that do?”

She glanced sideways at him, eyes smiling out from under her drenched hair.

“Say what you wanted to say.”

“I... forgot.”

She turned fully towards him and took a step closer, bringing her body to within inches of him.

“Sheldon, honey, this is what we do. I’m not Leonard.”

“Thank Krypton for that,” he said, “or this would be a lot more awkward.”

“Stay on target, gold leader,” she breathed, closing in on him. “He lets you stay in the paddling pool. I’m throwing you in the deep end. Say the words. Trust me, if it’s anything like what I think you want to say you don’t need to worry about the outcome.”

He took a deep breath to calm himself; he was shaking, though even he wasn’t sure if it was out of cold or terror. “I think... I can’t. I can’t.”

He sank to the decking, curled up with his back to the railing, and buried his face in his crossed arms. Penny sank to her haunches beside him and draped an arm across his shoulders.

I'm sure you would. I did think it would be fun to try my hand at the "Gliiip" scene, but there was so much action going on that I wasn't sure I could do it justice with just one drawing. :)

You know how I'm always like PENNY'S HAIR OMG? Well, I still feel that way, but dude... SHELDON'S HAIR OMG. I love the way it is laying in this piece, you can tell it's a little wet from the rain and just looks PERFECT. There's a lot of emotion packed in here altogether, so it's just beautiful.

And I love all the canon details you use too, like Sheldon's pajamas and slippers, and Penny's robe and her little Ugg boots.

Okay so this. This just... it makes me want to cry.
It's all in Sheldon's pose and the way he's so... IDEK, curled up around himself? And sad? And Penny's arm around him just makes my heart do weird, weird things.
ALSO, I SEE SOME OF SHELDON'S WATCH PEEKING OUT. YOU KNOW HOW I LOVE SHELDON'S WATCH. ALSO PLAID. WHICH I LOVE EVEN MORE THAN HIS WATCH. OH MAN I'M DEAD.

I can't decide which is more beautiful, the picture or the prompt. They both just completely stir something in me! I agree with you about the way Sheldon looks in this, he's fabulous!! The whole scene is moving :)
