meme: absolute truth; r/k fic recs
May. 31st, 2008 11:39 pmTaken from
darsynia 's journal:
Ask me a question about one of my fanfics. It can be absolutely anything in any fic and I will tell you the honest-to-god answer. Don't hold back. Ask about major upcoming plot points if you want to. Whatever you ask, I have to answer truthfully.
Fic I've written, fic I've promised to write, WIPs, anything is fair game!
I'm just interested to see if anyone will respond really. I haven't "promised to write" anything really, but I have expressed a strong desire to continue certain storylines.
So, ask away. :)

Two recs from the recent fic challenge at
sg_onesweetlove:
"Whispers of Love" (PG) by
nytel - SUMMARY: She'd heard him say it three times now and she still had no idea what it meant.
"Lullaby" (PG-ish) by
nika_dixon - a very prolific writer, this is my favorite fic of hers to date. The first chapter was perfect in itself, but she decided to continue the story. So, look forward to more chapters, as I do.
. . .and one more:
"Getting Warm" (PG-13) by
journeyman07 - This fic definitely lived up to his title. Lots of sweet, R/K moments with a hint of J/T thrown in for good measure.
Enjoy. :)

Date: 2008-06-01 08:58 pm (UTC)1) Is Jen ever going to remember (and therefore, we get to find out) exactly what happened on Ferra? Well, besides the obvious, I mean! *grin*
2) Does Ronon remember everything? If so, why? (A Pegasus native difference, perhaps?)

Date: 2008-06-01 09:18 pm (UTC)1) No, she's not ever going to remember, beyond what she's been told. Initially I had this whole storyline planned out where Jen went back to Ferra to study whatever fertility drug/compound that was in the wine, and there she found out more about what happened via her encounter with an original character I created specifically for the reveal. If you look, you will notice how I set up for this in chapter 3, I think, where Jen is in the lab with Dr. Pedersen. I was going to write it, but I thought it digressed to much from the main plot. And this ties into question #2 nicely.
2) Yes, Ronon remembers a lot more than Jennifer, but not everything. The drug he was given was a lot less potent of a different nature than the one that was given to Jen. This is another area the original character (a female) comes into play. In actuality, Ronon's encounter with this character and his reaction in a particularly compromising situation directly contributes to his being able to save Jen from Lord Gaston.
I'm being honest, but a bit vague here. I decided not to write this into the story, but now, I realized it would have made the main storyline a lot more involved and rich. So, that being said, there's a slim chance that I may still try to write the "Ferra chronicles," so I don't want to give too much away. :)
Thanks for the questions.

Date: 2008-06-01 10:16 pm (UTC)I do want to read what else happens, though! Ronon still hasn't met Jen's dad yet, has he?
