The idea evolved and I wanted Ariadne to be interacting with someone, as well. I considered Yusuf, because I love the idea of them becoming BFFs, but then I decided I wanted to draw Arthur looking more relaxed. I like how this turned out, but I would still like to draw Ariadne and Yusuf eventually.

You reall captured JGL here. Even though I think his head is a bit leaner, especially at the top [does that make sense?] his features really feel like him. Her face looks lovely but Ellen's facial features are subtle to catch onto so I can see why a character portrait would be hard. I'd LOVE to see you draw Yusuf with her =3

Thanks. I did struggle a great deal with Ariadne's face, like always, and it's for the reason you named: subtle features. Very hard to nail down.

I love this! You have a really wonderful delicate touch with a pencil--all the fine little wrinkles in their clothes are gorgeous. And I'm really adoring Arthur's rolled-up sleeves. It just seems like a very Arthur way to "dress casual" :) You did a really nice job capturing their facial features, too especially JGL's. Whenever you get around to it, I'd LOVE to see how you draw Ari & Yusuf!
