JT Thing-A-Thon progress

When I first received my two prompts for the John & Teyla Thing-A-Thon, I was super-psyched, like, "Yeah! I'm totally gonna illustrate this second one, and it's gonna be the most awesomest thing evah!"

Well, a month passed and I still had nothing. Th second prompt immediately made me thing of scenarios with John and Teyla sparring, and that was just too trite, and had been done so well by much better writers, that I wanted to think of a different spin on the subject. But nothing came to mind.

I read the prompts once more, this time giving more consideration to the first one. Suddenly, I had an idea. Yay! Teyla learns a new skill, and it's based on something that I know how to do (not cooking, sadly, or fortunately, since we wouldn't want Teyla to suffer that humiliation). But, I hope my recipient likes it. I've got the required 1000 words (close to 1,100, actually), and the story isn't near complete. John has yet to come in, and I need to work on my "Teyla inner voice." I'm just really glad to finally have something written down.

And there may be some R/K thrown in the mix.

Speaking of stories. . .How's "Strawberries" coming?

Apparently I can't type today! Tired...

As for "strawberries," well...it's starting to come along. I've got a couple of other ideas swimming around, and I'm working on those, too, and it seems to be somewhat difficult because there seem to be a lot of details I need to work out first for the story to flow, and it might be a little longer than I want it to be...

We'll see.

Maybe I should just start writing and see where it goes...hmmm...

No problem. It was quite funny, actually. I have typos all the time in my writing, and it's something I constantly have to work on, trying to be better at proofreading my own stuff. It's a miracle I'm able to beta.
