renisanz: angelo, jono, & jubilee watching tv (jubecry)

This has definitely been an eventful few months.

OMG. . .they canceled Stargate Atlantis.

I suppose, all things considered, I would much prefer the show to go out while it's ahead. I can't help but wonder what Jewel Staite is thinking right now. I remember seeing her say in a video clip that it was strange and unfortunate that most of the shows she'd been on ended up being canceled. However, when one of those shows happens to be one of the greatest shows ever (Firefly, not Stargate Atlantis), it's not really so bad.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

It's true, unfortunately. *sigh*

That's true, it's better to go out on top than at at the bottom, but it still really sucks. I feel bad for the cast and for the crew...*sighs*...just feel bad all around I guess.

Yeah. Looking for new jobs is never fun. However, they still have to finish up the rest of the season there are plans for an Atlantis movie, so that's something to look forward to. Now I'm really interested to see how the rest of the season is going to play out.

Hi..am back from my wanderings at last...to such sad news as well - I feel weird! Also very much intrigued to see how season 5 goes now. *sighs a little too deeply*
Anyway...how are you doing hon? Is all well? Looks like you've been kept busy with the beta work! (told you you were good at it!)

Soph! Hey. . . *tackles with hugs* Glad you're back safe and sound. I'm sure you had a wonderful vacation. You have no idea how much I've missed your notes. I still managed to do quite a bit of writing, though.

Beta'ing is cool as well, but I may have to take a break from it myself. I feel how my friend described being a med student, how it's very stressful trying not to kill people. In this case, I'm trying not to kill people's stories. :)

As far as the show goes, I'll be happy as long as Rodney and Jen aren't an official couple or anything by the end of it. Then my shippy heart will be free to imagine what could have been with her and Ronon. :)

I totally agree! ( Oh, and *tackles with hugs in return* LOL)
Also like how you describe the beta-ing...that analogy works for me too at times! Not when it comes to your writing though, I hasten to add...so normal beta services can resume when and if you'd find that helpful.
Vacation lovely, but it's good to be home as well. x

*blushes* You're so awesome. Thanks for the offer, since I'm definitely going to be taking you up on it. :D I'm kinda stalled on both stories. With "Left Behind" I have this really clear idea for a scene that's much later in the storyline. Kind of like how you were with "Getting Warm." So, maybe I should just write that, and then fill the rest in . . .? At least I'll have something to get my creative juices flowing again. *shrug*

Oh yeah, I would, and as you know I go right ahead and write the scenes I like and fill in the gaps later all the time - so go for it! Must update myself with what you've written on your fics. Loved the Missing You, Kissing You artwork btw- really beautiful stuff. Soph x

I remember watching an interview with her, and she was excited about being moved from guest appearance to regular character. Now this. I wondered about her as well last night when I heard the news.

Yeah. That's the business, I suppose. I remember seeing Joe Flanigan in an interview talking about how he had been on a bunch of pilots that never took off—and then he got the job on Atlantis. At least they get to finish out the season.
