*blink blink*
Ok, this is not really a review to the episode so much as my reaction.
I have no words, really.
It was awesome. Loved the play between all the characters. There was a lot to cram in the 43 minutes and 30 seconds they're allotted.
But. . .
Dude. . .
The second to the last tag scene. . .
What the world?!?
*blink*frown*furrowed brow* Wants to pet Ronon dreaded head and coo, "It's gonna be ok. She didn't mean it."

The episode, I thought, was one of the best ones I've seen from the Atlantis writers for a while. On a whole, it wasn't entirely 'character' driven - it was more plotty and although Teyla got left out of the ep, I don't think there was anything that she could have done 'out there' to give her more screen time.

Her relationship with John is in a weird place this season. Like, we see touches of it here and there, and it still seems like there's a bit of tension, but they're still friends and comfortable and John seems to be pretty supportive of her. He left her in charge when he went off to rescue everyone, and that was cool.

Date: 2008-10-11 10:42 pm (UTC)I don't really have a big issue with it. It's just. . .I don't know. It's been going on for five years, and there's an interesting dynamic between John and Teyla now, definitely. *shrug*

Date: 2008-10-11 11:49 pm (UTC)Ah well, as soon as I resucitate my fangirl, it will be back to business. I'm also a Snape fangirl, like so many other ficcers out there. Hell, his canon mistress offed him. However, in fanfic, the man is resurrected and carries on relationships with all different characters in thousands of fanfics. A dead ship compared to a dead guy? If you're a fanficcer worth your salt, easy-peasey, man. ; )
