art: "Embrace"

I was supposed to be working on some concept sketches or a cover design, an actual paying job. However, I came across an unfinished sketch that I started for the John & Teyla Thing-A-Thon (I quickly switched gears and ended up writing "Parallax") and decided to tweak it a bit. The anatomy is wonky, as usual, but I really like where John's mouth touches Teyla's hair. :)

And I realize once again how much I need my own proper scanner, rather than snapping a crappy pic with my cellcam and bluetoothing it to my computer.

I'll update the image in the morning. Time for sleep.

I love it! :D I love the 'kiss', and the way he has his arms wrapped around her without the awkwardness we saw in the show hugs.

Thanks. I guess that's what I was going for when I first attempted this drawing. And, oh whatever. No envy needed. I wish I was an awesome writer, but it is what it is. ;)

I love this...it fits beautiful with how that scene in Spoils of War could have ended. I think if they do this another time, he will not fear to this next time around. I love how you captured how each one of them would so immerse into the moment. John tenderly and Teyla simply clinging on to him as if her life depended it on it....Beautiful! thank you!

Late. Because it seems I missed this during my 'not watching LJ' period.

Really beautiful, and, yeah, John's mouth touching Teyla's head is adorable.

(But, yes, Teyla's neck and body doesn't quite work.)
