Title: "Your Kiss Might Kill Me"

Spoilers: No spoilers, just wishes and horses.
Notes: It's definitely no small task to maintain a character's likeness when their face is smushed against someone else's. Good reference photos were definitely a must in this case. This was the last prompt I picked up, but the first to be complete, go figure. It's no secret (by now, at least) where my shippy heart lies. Drawn in pencil [I'm such a traditionalist. ; ) ] and then scanned in and manipulated in Photoshop CS2. Enjoy.

Finally, I get to post my paintedspires  piece.

Quite a bit of layers were involved, maybe about 12. I kept having to copy and multiply the line art layer so the pencils would show through all the texture. You get a cookie if you can guess where the overlain text is from.

And, here are the pencils, toned in Photoshop CS2. I was going to stop at this, but then I saw the awesome pieces from other artists. It encouraged me to dig into my creative reserves.

Thanks, Rachel. I'm actually really quite proud of how this came out. I've really slacked on my art lately, in favor of writing and photography, so I'm glad ya'll enjoy this. :)

Well, your art is beautiful, and much better than I could ever do. I was only ever good at drawing a horse head, and even then, I'm still not much of an artist. Besides, I haven't taken the time to draw anything in years, so I probably really suck at it. Either way I can appreciate the effort that goes into such artwork as yours, so thank you!
