. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Yay for my second art piece. Drawn in pencil, colored in Photoshop CS2. I sketched this about a week ago, then I went through a period where I thought I would redraw it to make it "'mo betta" (as my sister says). But, I just decided to tweak what I had, and this was the final result. The first time I tried to color this it came out. . .not so good. So, I tried a simpler approach. I forgot about trying to add values, since most of that was already done in pencil, and just focused on laying down some muted, soft flats. I also scanned in a texture from the paper of one of my sketchbooks, and that's what you're seeing in the background. This one clocked in at 24 layers. I think I'm going to color like this from now on.

Oh yes, and for those of you who've read the Part 1 of "Back Home" (you can actually read this without it spoiling the rest of the storyline). . . Ronon's band-aid is a little treat.
For some reason, I had a harder time getting Jennifer's likeness in profile than I did with the previous piece. Probably because this time I was going from a combination of references rather than just one.
And, here are the original pencils, because I rather like them.

Thanks for looking. : )
