Riese: Amara/Trennan picspam

I've been keeping up with this show called Riese. I first became interested when I heard that Sharon Taylor, who previously portrayed Amelia Banks on Stargate Atlantis, was going to be starring in it. I was so excited to see more of her range.
Episode 2 of the show rolls around and she appears in this scene with the character Trennan (Patrick Gilmore). I don't know if it was written like that, but, holy crap, there was an insane amount ofsexual tension in about a mere 20 seconds. I'd seen Patrick Gilmore in Stargate Universe (yes, I watch that show, grudgingly, and I do have a favorite episode of that series so far). He didn't have a big role in SGU, being a recurring character. In that scene with Amara, he blew me away.
Lemme tell you, dude can act. He just gives her this look and says her name and it's like, omg, he totally in love with her...or something.
But then I was all, dude, I can't ship them. They're on the side that's trying to kill Riese, the title character.
But I do, so. . . *shrug*

Amara: Trennan.
Trennan: You sent for me, Empress?
Amara: Has Herrick returned?
Trennan: Sorry, Your Highness. He's still away from the palace.
Amara: Have we any word about his mission?
Trennan: No, not yet.
Amara: I see. Order Herrick's return immediately.
Trennan: [looks startled] . . . Amara.

I've mainly kept tuned in to this show to find out what exactly is going on between these two. Four episodes later I was gifted with this wonderful sparring scene. I want to send a gift basket to whomever designed Amara's outfit.

Amara: It's no challenge if you don't fight.

Then Amara procedes to show off with a bunch of staff twirling and one particularly impressive kick.
This time Trennan manages to deflect her attack...

Amara: You're improving. [smiles]
Trennan: You're an excellent teacher.
Amara: Still, you will submit to me.
Things get interesting from there, but I will not, in this scene, their relationship smacks of childhood friends. Trennan obviously knows Amara pretty well, and he only goes through the formality of calling by her title for appearances. She definitely gets bratty and indignant when things don't go her way. And I want to know why Trennan still stands by her.
. . . . . .
Please don't steal my piscpams. If you'd like me to post the individual caps, let me know. :)

After that sparring scene I can't even deny it anymore.
