This will be a nice addition to the Shipper Manifesto I'm due to write for them.

Parker: You really think I look good?
Hardison: And now you're perfect.

Hardison: How did you get away from Sergei in the screening room?
Parker: I pretended that I was drunk and we were meeting down there to have sex.

Parker: I don't do drugs.

Hardison: I kinda like this Parker.

Parker: [to Sophie] You should hide. We should pretend to makeout.
Hardison: Wait, what—?

Parker: That was fun.
Hardison: Yeah. Can we talk about that?
Parker: Talk about what?

Hardison: Where are you going?
Parker: Let's see how hard you look.

I bought and downloaded a program called Wondershare Pro that lets me rip the video from the dvd and convert it to whatever file format I want. Then I open it in iMove HD, which is bundled software on my Mac. That's where I add the transition effect at the beginning and end of the video and do more editing to the frames.

Then, I open the file in Adobe ImageReady. There, I can adjust the timing of each individual frame, so I put a few seconds of delay on the first and last frame.

ooh I see. all the software I'm using is free - VirtualDub for caps, PhotoScape for the animation and DVDVideoSoft for misc functions. way better than the play-pause-cap-repeat method I was using before, ugh.

anyway, I can't wait for the manifesto and the gifs! :D

I watched a tutorial on youtube where I guy used VirtualDub. I didn't find a version for mac, and, since I planned on getting significant use out of a program, I decided to go ahead and buy it. Plus, I already had Adobe CS2, being a graphic designer. I knew the basic concept of making gifs, but had never tried it before until now.

You're right. It is incredibly addictive. :D
