renisanz: angelo, jono, & jubilee watching tv (keller)

I follow the feed on Gateworld pretty regularly (like everyday, actually, because it's in my Google Reader feed), and I just saw something very interesting.

I know the McKeller fans are gonna go nuts over this image.

They ain't called "promotional photos" for nothin'. I think certain images are released for a reason.

Now back, to writing my Ronon/Keller fic. :)

I wish the powers that be would stop making McKeller. :(

I don't mind it terribly. It's just, I don't know, the whole love triangle thing is a bit of a stretch. Though, that scene in "First Contact" was the best ever. I guess I like it as long as it's in the background. Also, Rodney's character. . .yeah, I'm about to go off an a serious spiel.

Anyway. I agree. McKeller=bad. LOL. (I need a McKay icon)

What? Don't you think it would make an awesome icon?

LOL. Seriously though, I think this image is going to be taken out of context. I've seen other production photos and they don't give away a lot of what's going on in the rest of the episode, which is weird, considering there are some extremely spoilery pics floating around for "Remnants." But yeah, Rodney's just offering comfort after a trying ordeal. Yeah. :/

So. . .when are we gonna see some more fic from you? I know you've got RL stuff going on, but ya know, you've like ascended to the spot of my favorite Ronon/Keller writer. And I kind of nominated one of your fics for an Isis Award. :)

If I was a McKeller fan, I'd think it would make an awesome icon. I have to agree with you. The love triangle thing is a real stretch. There hasn't been enough build-up for the viewer to see to make it a solid secondary storyline. Of course that could just be my very biased perception which is much influenced by a profound wish that McKay didn't factor in the Ronon/Keller dynamic AT ALL. : )

Rodney offering comfort to anyone sets off all my alarm bells. Just not like him, so displaying that level of compassion toward Jennifer makes my Ronon/Keller fangirl sensibilities go "Nooooooo!" I'll be interested to see that episode and keeping my fingers crossed that nothing more than a forehead touch comes of that one.

Ugh. I'm behind on multiple deadlines at the moment. I have a LotR fic that needs finishing (I'm on the last chapter), a Lost fanfic that needs tending to and two original pieces demanding my attention--one with a November deadline. But of course, I'm fecking around on LJ. ; )

I'm hoping to put up a short tale after I see The Lost Tribe. I want to intertwine pieces from The Shrine, Tracker, FC and TLT together into it.

I was also so impressed with Chris Heyerdahl's performance as Todd that a plot bunny involving him has latched onto me with the tenacity of a pit bull onto me and won't let go. I'm actively trying to smother it as I don't need to start a story in another ship of the fandom when I have so much other backload to complete.

Awww, thank you, Ren! That was incredibly complimentary and a generous thing for you to do. I'm honored. I'm so glad you've enjoyed my R/K stuff. You were one of my first reviewers and always welcoming to a newbie in the SGA fandom. I truly appreciate that. There are some truly talented writers in that fandom (you're one of them), so it's nice to hang out with such good writers.

Point taken. I thought the same, thing, but was trying to remain optimistic. Thanks for stopming on my hopes. j/k

Me, too. He's really given the character an amazing level of depth.

Aww. Thanks so much. Seriously, it means a lot coming from you, because your writing is just so dang good and rich and deep. But it still accessible, and you can have fun with it ("Healing Touch," still one of my faves). However, now, seeing that Ronon/Keller isn't your first foray into fanfic, it's understandable. Also, the fact that you're a Tolkein fan says something too. I have yet to assimilate the vocabulary to accurately describe what it is about your writing that similar to it, but basically it has this dignified air to it...and omg, I'm appalled that I was actually able to acquire a bachelor's degree. But then, I was an art major, and only took extra writing classes to fill my schedule to receive my financial aid. It's such a wicked system, I tell ya. LOL.

All that was to say, "Thanks. Your writing rocks, and I'm glad you like mine, too." It's hard to tell sometimes as a some of the reviewers don't have what I'd call discerning taste in quality fic. Maybe I take it too seriously at times. *shrug*
